Colton with Papaw & Kay Kay Daddy & Colton Aunt Lulie, Kenleigh & Mommy Our Team - Christy's Angels
The Knoxville Race for the Cure was Saturday Oct 20. We had a great time! The Christy's Angels team was out in full force. Thanks to everyone who joined us and supported us in our fundraising efforts. If you would still like to contribute, please do so!!
Colton had his first field trip today - to Maple Farms Pumpkin Patch. We went on a long hay ride & saw cows, Texas Longhorns, a Brahma bull, the corn field, the strawberry field & the PUMPKINS!! They got to walk through the patch & pick out a pumpkin. Then we had a picnic lunch with his class.
We had a Fall Family Fun Night at school this week & there was a pumpkin contest. Colton decided to decorate his using the School Spirit theme. He named it Super Witch Pumpkin. He didn't win, but had lots of fun!!
I lost my beautiful, caring, courageous, happy, friendly, wonderful, super, fabulous, strong, respected, valient, brave, loving, GREAT Mom two years ago today. At times, it doesn't seem like she has been gone that long, but at other times, it feels like forever. Colton still talks about her almost daily, which is very special to me - she is still alive in him! I hope he continues to remember her so he can tell Kenleigh, Will & any future cousins about what a wonderful Grandma she was. My Dad has been gone 5 1/2 years now. I know that they are in Heaven in God's hands, together & out of pain, watching down on all of us. There is comfort knowing that my children & our family have two very special Guardian Angels protecting us.
I'm posting this video because the song makes me think of Mom. After Dad passed, she liked to listen to it because it made her think of him. Now, I enjoy listening & thinking of them both.
