Scavenger Hunt

Papaw and Kay Kay made a scavenger hunt for Colton on his birthday, complete with a map and clues. So, Papaw, Kay Kay, Mommy, Daddy, Colton, Kenleigh and Uncle Tony headed out for our hunt. Colton LOVED it!! Kay Kay did a great job. We started at their house, walked over to the ball park and followed the clues back to the house where the big treasure was. Kenleigh even got into it - she saw a spot on the street and said "a clue, a clue!".

Happy Memorial Day

Happy Birthday, Colton

Well, my little boy has turned 6. As much as we begged him not to, he said he couldn't stay 5 anymore. I can't believe how much he has changed. These last six years have really gone by so fast - it seems each year is faster than the last. He is such a great boy - very easy going and good tempered with a great personality. He makes us smile every day. Mommy and Daddy are truly blessed!

Last Day of Kindergarten

Today was Colton's last day of Kindergarten. I can't believe the year is over! He was most proud of his certificate and t-shirt he got for having Perfect Attendance. The room mothers put together a scrapbook with pictures from each month of the school year. It is fun to look back and remember all he has done this year. We are now looking forward to a fun-filled summer.

Field Day

It is hard to believe that in one week, Colton will be out of Kindergarten! This year has been great. I was a little skeptical at first because his teacher was new - it would be her first year teaching alone. But she has been WONDERFUL!! She is very enthusiastic & loves the kids. Colton has never complained about going to school - and has perfect attendence for the year. Mrs. Becher has really helped Colton love to learn. His writing has improved greatly, he is doing great with math and is even reading on a 2nd grade level. Tuesday was field day and class picnic at school. Kay Kay, Mommy and Daddy went to play :) The class presented Mrs. Becher with an art canvas that the class had painted. She was so excited!
