Kindergarten Field Trip

We went to the zoo today with Colton's class - even Daddy got to go! The kids were so excited. Colton was awake at 6:00 ready for the day. We had a scavenger hunt around the zoo then met the rest of the class for a picnic lunch.

Playing at the Park

The kids & I went to the park with Lindsey, OV, Max & Margaret to ride bikes & play on the playground. It was such a nice day & the kids had a ball. Thanks, Lindsey!!

Colton's first baseball game

Colton had his first baseball game with his new coach - DADDY!! Papaw is also helping, so this is a family affair! His team is the Marlins this year. They have a good group of boys & everyone is doing great - a few of the kids can really hit the ball! Here are a few pictures from the big day - Mommy helps out in the dugout, so I didn't get too many.

Visit with Papaw & Carol

Papaw & Carol stopped for a quick visit on their way back to Indiana. We love when they visit, just wish they could stay longer! It was a beautiful day, so we played outside at Aunt Julie's. Aaron decided to take Kenleigh & Will for a ride in the wheelbarrow. Colton read a few books to Papaw. He is really reading well - on a late 2nd grade level! It is so exciting to watch him learn.

Fun at Sprout

Kenleigh & I met Aunt Jamie & Will at Sprout Studio to play. It was our first time & Kenleigh LOVED it!! They both really enjoyed playing in the water & in the "General Store". I see more visits at Sprout in our future!!

I Miss My Dad

Today marks six years that my Dad has been gone. It's still as hard as ever. What hurts the most is that neither of my children ever met him & he never knew the joys of having grandchildren, but he knew Colton was coming. I would have loved to see him with my kids! I know he is sitting in Heaven with Mom looking down & watching over us.

Riding Horses

Sunday afternoon, we went to visit my friends, Nathan & Ashley, at their farm. They have a chocolate lab who Kenleigh kept calling Wrigley & HORSES!!! Kenleigh was so excited. First she rode with Nathan, but after Colton got to ride by himself, she decided she wanted to also. Neither of them wanted to leave. Looks like we will be making many trips to ride the horses!

Knoxville Marathon

Dusty ran the Knoxville Marathon on Sunday. He finished in just under four hours!! Mommy, Colton, Kenleigh, Papaw, Kay Kay & Andy were there to watch him cross the finish line. Jamie, Bill, Will, Julie & Aaron got there just after & were able to congratulate him, too. We are all very proud of him!
