Fall Break 2008

We made the annual trek to Myrtle Beach for Fall Break with Papaw & Kay Kay last week. The weather was chilly, so we stayed in the indoor pools most of the time. We did get a little beach time. Kay Kay & Mommy took the kids to the Children's Museum of South Carolina. It was a really cool place - lots of fun, educational things to do.

Three Years

Sunday marked three years that Mom has been gone from us. I still miss her every day! It is hard without her, but I know she is now healthy & out of pain. She is our Guardian Angel.

Dusty & I gave the flowers for Church on Sunday in memory of Mom. They turned out beautiful! After Church, we went to visit Mom & left the flowers at the cemetary.

Race for the Cure 2008

Saturday October 11th was the 12th annual Komen Knoxville Race for the Cure. We had a great team turnout - even had a few new team members this year! The weather was beautiful & everyone had fun.

Updates

I finally have a minute to update the blog with some new pictures.

Here are some pictures from Colton's 2nd season of Upward Soccer. He was much more into playing this year than he was last - even scored a goal!!

We also played Fall Baseball this year. Daddy & Papaw were his coaches.

Colton went to his first Major League Baseball game with Papaw & Daddy. They went to see the Cubs (of course) play the Reds in September. Unfortunatly, the Cubs didn't pull out the win - but we figured they wouldn't since Daddy has never seen them win.

One good thing about staying with Dusty's parents while our house was being fixed was that they have a swimming pool. Here are some pics from a nice swim with Lulie & Aaron.

Friday, Oct 10th I went with Colton for his first 1st Grade field trip to the Oak Ridge Children's Museum. The kids had a great time, but I think the highlight was having to wait outside when the fire alarms went off & watching the four firetrucks & police car show up.

Community Cup

I was at The Cupcakery last week & their Community Cup is a white cake with strawberry buttercream icing. The profits are donated to Breast Cancer research in honor of breast cancer awareness month.

Take it from me, they are GOOD!!!
