BASEBALL TIME

Colton's baseball season started again. I just love watching him play! This year, he is really into it. He is doing a GREAT job. The first game, he was 5 for 5, scored all 5 times & hit 2 doubles! This season we are the Cubs - Dusty's favorite team. So far, our season is going very well!

A visit with Papaw & Carol

My Papaw & Carol stopped by for a quick visit on their way home to Indiana from Florida. The weather was so nice - we all took a walk down the street. We love their visits - just wish they would stay longer!

Baby George

We took a spur-of-the-moment trip to the Zoo with Aunt Jamie, Will & Alex. The kids had a ball! The only thing missing was Colton - he was in school.

Kenleigh is VERY attached to stuffed animals right now. She has to take one with us wherever we go!

She told me the other day about an animal they learned about at school - called a Jackaloke. I keep asking her to repeat the name - & she insists it is a real animal :)

Easter 2010

We had a beautiful Easter Sunday! It was an exciting day at church. We opened our newly renovated Fellowship Hall for the annual Easter breakfast. I am on the Fellowship committee, so I was busy cooking & keeping everything nice while the rest of the congregation was eating. It is SO nice to have such a big space to work in. After church, we headed to Papaw & Kay Kay's house for Easter lunch. It was nice to have Uncle Tony & Aunt Tarla join us.

Fabulous, Fun Friday

The last day of Spring Break was a busy one for us. We had an Easter Egg Hunt with the MOPS group at Church in the morning, then headed to meet Daddy for lunch. After we took him back to work, the kids wanted to stop at the waterfall downtown. They had a great time tossing rocks in the water & running around. That night, Colton & I had our long-awaited date to the George Strait concert! The concert was originally going to be in January, but there was bad weather that night so it was rescheduled. I don't think he realized the opening acts would sing as long as they did. He kept asking when George was coming. There were quite a few surprise guests. Brooks & Dunn came out & sang a song with Reba. Then, Kelly Clarkson came out. Melissa Peterman (from Reba's TV show) came out & did a comedy routine with Reba. Once George did come on, he was getting tired, so we only made it through about an hour of his show.

I'm an aunt again! We welcomed our 3rd nephew! Carter Brooks made his appearance on April Fools Day - what a great gift. Julie did great! He was 8 pounds 9 ounces & 19 3/4 inches long. We are so lucky to have him in our family!
