Kenleigh

Aunt Jamie has been writing things that Will says, so I thought I would try to document some of the funny stuff that comes out of Kenleigh's mouth!

* She has started calling Colton "Buddy Boy" (ex. Are you ok, Buddy Boy?)

* The day she was playing in the sprinkler at Aunt Lulie's, she went to pick a flower & Lulie told her not to pick them. She looked at Lulie with a smirk & picked one right in front of her. Lulie said "Don't we have an attitude" to which Kenleigh replied "I don't have an altitude!"

* She doesn't pronounce "V" very well so when we are watching the UT games, it sounds like "Go Balls!"

She still loves her brother VERY much. This morning, she was still sleeping so I took Colton to Sunday School & Daddy waited until she woke up. When they got to Church, she came running to him yelling "Tolton, Tolton" & threw her arms around him as if she hadn't seen him in years!

Texas update

All of our Texas relatives have been able to go back home. Uncle Richard seems to have been hit the worst. He had water in the garage & in his car. He said there had been about 3 feet of water outside & about 16 -19 inches inside. When he calls us, he seems upbeat, but we are afraid he is more upset than he lets on. His house is the house he, Dad & our other uncle (Uncle Donny) grew up in & I'm sure it is hard to see it damaged. Pray for him (& everyone else affected by the storms) as he works on getting his life back in order.

First day of Preschool

Kenleigh started back at Preschool on August 25th. Her teachers this year are Ms. Hazel & Ms. Amy. They were teaching back when Grandma was teaching there & have known Mommy for a long time. I am so excited for them to be Kenleigh's teachers. She is having a great year so far!

Vol Scrimmage

Colton is a member of the Jr Vols Club this year. His first activity was getting to go to a scrimmage where he got to see the cheerleaders, Smokey the mascot & the real Smokey, & have an autograph session with the team. He had a great time!

Baby Alex

Kenleigh finally got to hold Alex (on Aug 20)- she was so excited!! Then, we all went to Aunt Lulie's on Aug 24 to celebrate Aunt Jamie's birthday & Colton got to hold him. After Colton held Baby Alex, he had to hold Baby Kenleigh!

Visit in Virginia

We went to Virginia the 16th of August for the Pennington Reunion. The reunion was at a nice park - the kids loved feeding the ducks! We also visited with Dusty's mom's family. They had a huge garden - I don't think my city kids knew what to think. Colton loved digging the potatoes out of the ground & Kenleigh liked picking tomatoes & corn. Then we went across the street to visit the chickens & baby goats. Then we rode in the back of cousin Cody's truck to the river & waded for a while. A real taste of the country!!
