We had an exciting Halloween again this year. We started the night off with a visit to Aunt Lulie & Uncle Aaron's house to meet up with the Trimbles. After going down Julie's street, we headed to see Papaw & Kay Kay & some family friends, then ended the night in our neighborhood. The kids accumulated more candy than they could ever eat!!

2nd Grade Field Trip

I went with Colton's class on their field trip to the Museum of Appalachia. I hadn't been there in years! The boys loved it. It was interesting to see how people lived many, many years ago.

2009 Race for the Cure

The 13th annual Susan G. Komen Knoxville Race for the Cure was held on Oct 24. This is an annual event for our families - keeping in the footsteps of Mom! It was a great day. A record-breaking crowd turned out - over 13,000!

Race for the Cure

It is time for the Komen Knoxville Race for the Cure! Our team, Christy's Angels, is getting set to participate in our 13th race. We race in memory of Kim's mom, Christy, who passed away from breast cancer in October 2005 and in honor of Dusty's mom, Kay, who was diagnosed in February 2006.

New Fence

Ivy learned to get over our old fence, so we finally broke down and had a new, 6 foot fence put up. She LOVES being outside - and it is much nicer to just let her out instead of taking her on the leash each time!

She is also a true water dog. We have had lots of rain over the past few weeks, and Ivy doesn't mind. She likes to stay out and get into trouble. There used to be a tarp covering our sandbox (until Ivy decided it looked tasty), so she likes to lay in the sand. She is also a digger (we've got to find a way to stop that). There was a nice hole that filled with mud - she kept digging anyway. I saw her just flinging muddy water all over the place. Needless to say, Ivy has been getting lots of baths :)

Go Vols!!

We went to see the Vols play the home opener with Coach Lane Kiffen against Western Kentucky. It was Kenleigh's first UT game. She did great! We were a little cramped (4 of us trying to cram into 2 1/2 seats b/c someone was squeezing an extra person in) & it was a HOT day. We made it almost through 3 quarters :)
