Fabulous, Fun Friday

The last day of Spring Break was a busy one for us. We had an Easter Egg Hunt with the MOPS group at Church in the morning, then headed to meet Daddy for lunch. After we took him back to work, the kids wanted to stop at the waterfall downtown. They had a great time tossing rocks in the water & running around. That night, Colton & I had our long-awaited date to the George Strait concert! The concert was originally going to be in January, but there was bad weather that night so it was rescheduled. I don't think he realized the opening acts would sing as long as they did. He kept asking when George was coming. There were quite a few surprise guests. Brooks & Dunn came out & sang a song with Reba. Then, Kelly Clarkson came out. Melissa Peterman (from Reba's TV show) came out & did a comedy routine with Reba. Once George did come on, he was getting tired, so we only made it through about an hour of his show.

I'm an aunt again! We welcomed our 3rd nephew! Carter Brooks made his appearance on April Fools Day - what a great gift. Julie did great! He was 8 pounds 9 ounces & 19 3/4 inches long. We are so lucky to have him in our family!

Elite Eight!!

The UT Vols basketball team had a great season! They made it to the Elite Eight this year for the first time in school history. We took the kids down to the airport when the team came back from their run in the NCAA tournament. There was a pretty good crowd. Colton got lots of autographs. Kenleigh was a little afraid of all those tall boys!

Kenleigh's Stats

We took Kenleigh to the pediatrician for her 4 year check up last week. Everything was great! It seems like this girl just won't slow down her growing. I swear one day she will pass up Colton!

Her weight was 40.6 pounds - 90th percentile.
Her height was 44 7/8 inches - over the 99th percentile!!!
Her weight is 90th for her age, but due to the fact that she is so tall, it is perfect for her. She is long & lean :)

She actually grew 2 inches in 4 months - we had been in the doctor's back in November & I had them check her height & she was 42.75 inches. Hopefully one day she will slow down!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KENLEIGH!!

Kenleigh turns 4 today!!! I can't believe how much she has grown. She is not a baby anymore - before our eyes, she has turned into a beautiful little girl. Although she does have her moments, she is a happy, smart, independent child. We are truly blessed to call her our daughter!

Birthday Dinner with the Family

We had all the family over to have Birthday Pizza for Kenleigh's birthday!! It is always fun to get everyone together. This was probably the last time as 11 - Julie & Aaron's baby will be here in less than 3 weeks!!

Diaper Cake

Jamie, Nancy & I had a baby shower for Julie. It was lots of fun to hang out with the girls for a little while. Jamie & I decided to make a diaper cake. It was so much fun & turned out so cute!!

I can't wait to make more!
