Baseball

This was the last regular season game. Colton has had a great season - he has really improved! Kenleigh decided to wear the Cubs jersey, too.

Colton turned 8!!! I can't believe how fast the years go by. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing home that sweet bundle of joy.

We had a fun-filled day, starting with a trip to the park & lunch with Aunt Jamie, Will & Alex. Then I took the kids to Colton's favorite ice cream place - Baskin Robbins. We had a surprise birthday visit from our neighbors then got ready for a big baseball game. The best present of the day was our big WIN!!! Then we had cupcakes with the team & headed home to open gifts with Papaw & Kay Kay.

Last Day of School

I can't believe this year of school is over!

Colton had a GREAT year in 2nd grade - made lots of new friends, had a great teacher, & learned so many new things. He still loves school & excels in all subjects :)

Kenleigh had her last day of Preschool last week, too. She had so much fun this year. We have found out that she is a hit with the boys - much to her Daddy's dislike. She had a great year - learned lots of new things & is already talking about when she gets to go back to school.

Field Day

The kids just love field day! This year was a little different for Colton because each child participated in 4 events against teams from the other 2nd grade class & they gave ribbons for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place.

I didn't get to go because of work, but Daddy was able to be there.

Colton did great! He got 1st in Sack Race & Relay & 2nd in Balloon Toss.

He had a great time, but I think his favorite part was the Chick-Fil-A picnic lunch :)

Snails

Kenleigh was helping me do some weeding in the flower bed & we found snails - LOTS of snails! She pulled some of them out & put them on the sidewalk. Then we watched them, one by one, come out of their shells & crawl back into the dirt.

She is such an inquisitive little girl!

Kenleigh's New Doo

The kids got their hair cut the other day, & Kenleigh had enough for a french braid! She loved it - even slept with it up. Guess Mommy needs to learn how to do it now :)
